Handle your puppy/dog’s raw pet food the same as you would your own raw meat. You will need to wash your hands after preparing their food, and wash your pet’s dish after they eat. Any uneaten food needs to be disposed of after half an hour. You will need to take a block of frozen pet food out of the freezer the night before feeding; place it in a food storage container and refrigerate to thaw. Your pet’s food is fine stored in the fridge up to 4 days after it is thawed.
Puppies up to 10 months of age need to be fed 3x a day. We feed at 6:30 am, noon and 6pm. Adult dogs over 10 months of age should be fed 2 meals a day: breakfast and supper.
