At KS Cockapoos we go above and beyond most breeders

Our puppies have 24/7 in person monitoring the first 2 weeks to ensure each puppy is nursing, no one gets pushed aside or mom doesn’t accidently lay on a puppy. They are very fragile the first two weeks of life, it is very important to have a person close by to monitor and treat any signs of distress before it turns into an emergency situation.

They are weighed daily the first three weeks to ensure everyone is gaining weight accordingly. If a puppy isn’t gaining or has lost weight from the previous day, that puppy is monitored extra closely and put onto nurse every hour around the clock.

Our puppies are born and raised in a brand new state of the art nursery in our home. I open every sac, clear every air way, clean and weigh every puppy, and make sure he/she nurses as soon as possible to get the much needed antibodies for a healthy strong puppy. I track Moms temperature one week prior to her whelping window to see when her temperature drops. When Moms temperature drops we know pups are coming within 24 hours and my world stops. I call and reschedule grooming appointments so I am here to birth our puppies.

I feel very strongly about raising puppies in an environment that empowers them for their future. I spend hours handling from birth with daily neonatal care, early neurological stimulation exercises, and daily curriculum with exposure activities that is adjusted according to age. We do puppy evaluations at 7 weeks of age to determine each puppy's temperament & personality traits.

Approximately 500 - 600 hours are spent with each litter while here at KS Cockapoos, I personally spend most of the time with our puppies. If I am not able to monitor them myself for a day, I pay our daughter to monitor them.

Health-tested parents

Our parents are all health tested so we know we are doing our best to produce healthy puppies, they are also coat trait tested so we know which parents will produce non- shedding allergy friendly puppies.

Vet Check & Vaccinations

Our puppies visit our vet at 8 weeks of age to receive a thorough head-to-tail health check and receive their first set of vaccines. A health booklet & vaccine certificate are provided to families.

Deworming Protocol

We follow an effective deworming protocol with our parents and puppies to help protect them from intestinal parasites. Our protocol is vet-approved and very safe. All deworming details are provided to families.

Pet Insurance Trial

Each puppy will have a 4-week trial with Trupanion Insurance set to begin following pick-up.

Tail Docking

We do not ever dock tails.
We believe it is unnecessary and inhumane

Grooming

Our puppies nails are trimmed weekly and are brushed regularly while with us.
We bathe our puppies with a gentle puppy shampoo at least three times before Go-Home day. I am a groomer and understand the importance of desensitizing puppies to nail care and grooming at a young age.
Puppies will have a bath, nail trim and clean their ears with a mild cleanser the morning of Go-Home day.
