KS Cockapoos' Deworming Protocol
I personally use Stongid starting at 2, 4 & 6 weeks. When puppies are 8 weeks old, I switch to using Panacur/Safe-Guard (Fenbendazole) administered every 2 weeks. I choose to do this because it takes care of a wider range of parasites. Safe-Guard can not be used until puppies are at least 6 weeks old BUT, Stongid should be started when puppies are 2 weeks old. I also treat my mothers at the same time. This worming protocol covers all our bases and helps to send you home with a parasite-free puppy.
